SFHA Resident Services Newsletter

• Success Stories
We have many success stories among our residents and former residents. The stories below are our initial offerings. Soon, we will have a monthly column to let web visitors know about these experiences. We hope these stories will inform and inspire the readers.

  • ANDREA D. LEGO - Protective Services Worker Andrea D. Lego believes her experience living in public housing, receiving CalWorks, and being a single mom have provided her with a unique perspective as she assists her clients. She knows the challenges first hand, knows the available resources, and can be a role model to those she contacts in her job.
  • KELVIN SANDERS JR. - Police officer Kelvin Sanders, Jr. grew up in Potrero Hill Public Housing, and has now returned there as a police officer serving the community he knows so well.
  • CHARLOTTE GRIMES-BROWN - Charlotte Grimes-Brown is a single mother of two children, and regardless of what was going on in her life, she was inquisitive about things she could do to improve life for herself and her family.
  • LISA CAPIZZI - Lisa Capizzi, a public housing resident Laborer finds her niche in construction after getting her start through the Housing Authority's Resident Employment Program.

Readers with story ideas about successful residents of San Francisco Housing Authority public housing or Section 8 housing should submit those ideas to feedback@sfha.org. Please include as much information as you can.
