Classification: Property Manager II
Salary Range: $62,424 -$75,864 Annually

Position Summary
Under the direction of the Area Manager, the Property Manager II is responsible for the overall management, services and activities associated with the management, maintenance and operations of the more difficult or complex properties within the Public Housing Operations, generally 201 or more units. Employees in the Property Manager II classification is represented by SEIU Local 1021.
Experience, Training, Licenses & Certificates
Any combination of education, experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and skills. A typical way, but not the only way to obtain these would be:
Education equivalent to the completion of high school or equivalent (Bachelor degree preferred) AND
Five (5) years of experience in property management and experience involving public contact preferred.
Possession of a Pubic Housing Manager from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials NAHRO) or other Authority approved association.
Possession of a valid California driver's license, and automobile insurability by the Authority's insurance carrier.

SELECTION PROCESS
Applicants meeting the minimum qualifications will be administered an examination that may consist of any combination of written, oral or other exercises or assessment procedures that evaluate, knowledge, skill, ability or qualifications. Applicants must pass each phase of the process to be placed on the list that will be used to fill vacancies for the next nine (9) months. Vacancies will be filled based on the Rule of Three. The Authority may without notice, change or eliminate any particular assessment component or combination of components as the needs of the Agency dictate.
Qualified employees who submit an application by January 16, 2009 will be interviewed during the week of January 26, 2009. External applicants selected to move forward in the recruitment process, and who submit an application by February 13, 2009, will be interviewed during the week of March 2, 2009.
