Notice of Intent to Award Solicitation No. 23-440-RFP 0004 Project Based Vouchers

The Housing Authority of the City and County of San Francisco is pleased to announce that, as a result of our evaluation of applications received in response to the above noted RFP, the Authority has awarded nine (9) new properties to our PBV portfolio to provide housing for the low-income residents of San Francisco. Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program: Seeking New Landlords

The Housing Authority of the City and County of San Francisco (Authority) is actively seeking new property owners to participate in the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program. The Section 8 HCV program provides housing assistance to eligible individuals and families by paying a portion of their rent to private property owners. It benefits tenants by making housing more affordable and property owners by ensuring a consistent rental income stream.

Housing Choice Voucher - Property Owners

A cornerstone of the HCV program is the participation of the property owners who make their properties available for rent to the residents we serve. The Authority partners with over 3,500 landlords to provide affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing to HCV program participants.

Public Housing

The Public Housing Department owns and manages the agency’s public housing program. Family housing, senior housing, and housing for people with disabilities fall under the department’s oversight.
