Housing Choice Voucher - Property Owners

A cornerstone of the HCV program is the participation of the property owners who make their properties available for rent to the residents we serve. The Authority partners with over 3,500 landlords to provide affordable, decent, safe and sanitary housing to HCV program participants.

Public Housing

The Public Housing Department owns and manages the agency’s public housing program. Family housing, senior housing, and housing for people with disabilities fall under the department’s oversight.

FREE Construction Job Training

FREE Construction Job Training!

UCSF/CityBuild Construction is offering free job training to work on UCSF funded construction projects. This will include one-week basic introduction to pre-apprentice construction training with a focus in ironworker related trades.

Annual Plan 2023

THE 45 DAY COMMENT PERIOD HAS BEGUN!

The Annual Plan is a comprehensive guide to public housing agency policies, programs, operations, and strategies for meeting local housing needs and goals. The comment period is between April 4, 2022 through May 20, 2022 @ 3:00pm. The proposed plan is available at www.sfha.org. It is physically available at the San Francisco Housing Authority Administrative Offices located at 1815 Egbert Avenue, San Francisco, California 94124 by appointment only. All comments must be submitted to masonl@sfha.org or via U.S. Postal Services mail addressed to 1815 Egbert Avenue, San Francisco, California, 94124, with attention to “Legal Affairs & Policy” by May 20, 2022. Comments on the Annual Plan are welcome at the May 5, 2022 Public Meeting or the May 26, 2022 Public Hearing.

Emergency Housing Voucher Opportunity!

The Authority has been awarded 906 Emergency Housing Vouchers (EHVs). The Authority is coordinating with the San Francisco Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing (HSH) to implement this program. This gives us an exciting opportunity to move more San Franciscans experiencing and facing homelessness into permanent housing!
